Enuff O Dry Syrup is usually given to children to treat acute diarrhea caused due to bacterial infections. It helps relieve the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness by killing the diarrhea-causing microorganism and reducing the loss of water and electrolytes.
Loose, watery diarrhea can lead to loss of fluids and essential salts from your child's body. Make sure to replenish this in the form of ORS (Oral rehydration solution) to combat dehydration.
Enuff O Dry Syrup contains two medicines: Racecadotril and ofloxacin. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection.

Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Enuff O Dry Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Give Enuff O Dry Syrup only for whom it is prescribed. Never share the medicines as it can harm. Do not mix Enuff O Dry Syrup along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as that may cause unwanted side effects. Do not give Enuff O Dry Syrup if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
While a small overdosage is unlikely to be harmful, it's essential to contact your child's doctor immediately. Overdose can potentially cause unwanted side effects like seizures, tremors, severe headaches, sudden weakness, loss of consciousness, and abnormal heart rhythm (palpitations). Enuff O Dry Syrup contains lactose, which makes it unsuitable for children with a milk or dairy product intolerance. It's advisable to avoid administering this syrup to such children.
