Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not be vaccinated until they recover from the illness. Once your child recovers, you can administer the vaccine.
The doctor may order periodic ECG and liver function tests to monitor your child's condition.
