Frequently asked questions
What is Enerobal 1500 Injection?
Enerobal 1500 Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient for the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folate).
Why might I not be getting enough vitamin B12 from my diet?
Vitamin B12 is found naturally in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, people who are vegetarian or vegan may have difficulty obtaining sufficient vitamin B12 as it is not a common ingredient in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains.
What happens if I experience a deficiency of vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). It may also lead to nerve problems such as tingling or numbness in the hands and feet. Other symptoms may include balance issues, depression, confusion, memory impairment, sore mouth or tongue, and difficulty concentrating.
Is Enerobal 1500 Injection safe?
Enerobal 1500 Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and rash have been reported in some cases. If a rash occurs, discontinue use of the medicine immediately.
How should Enerobal 1500 Injection be administered?
Enerobal 1500 Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 0.5 mg of Enerobal 1500 Injection, given three times a week. After two months, the dosage is adjusted to once every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken when administering Enerobal 1500 Injection?
Alternate injection sites at each administration. If intense pain occurs during injection or blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
