Introduction

Emetec Spas 20mg/10mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Emetec Spas 20mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects

Common side effects of this medicine include dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, nausea, weakness, nervousness, headache, constipation, and diarrhea. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they persist.

Alcohol Warning

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.

Emetec Spas 20mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines. Famotidine is a H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic medication. It works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and other symptoms of acidity.

You have been prescribed Emetec Spas 20mg/10mg Tablet to get relief from acidity and heartburn. Avoid taking any antacid at least 2 hours before or after taking Emetec Spas 20mg/10mg Tablet. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and heartburn: Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food. Lose weight if you are obese. If you are a smoker, consider giving up. Don't drink too much alcohol. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
