Dry Syrup
Emeebact CV Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that helps treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is capable of killing bacteria that have become resistant to other therapies and thus also helps treat tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.
Never give Emeebact CV Dry Syrup until and unless prescribed by the doctor. You must also never share your child’s medicine with anyone else even if they show similar symptoms.
No common side effects listed.
Emeebact CV Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again become resistant or cause another infection. Your child may have a bitter taste in the mouth after the intake of Emeebact CV Dry Syrup. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect.
It's essential to inform your doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Emeebact CV Dry Syrup, as it may interact with them. Additionally, consult with your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Antibiotics like Emeebact CV Dry Syrup generally do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have just been vaccinated. However, it's recommended to wait until your child has recovered from the illness before getting a vaccination.
During prolonged therapy with Emeebact CV Dry Syrup, your child's doctor may monitor kidney and liver function tests periodically to track their condition.
No, it's not advisable to exceed the recommended dosage of Emeebact CV Dry Syrup as it may increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences severe symptoms, consult with your doctor for re-evaluation.
No, do not discontinue Emeebact CV Dry Syrup unless the full course of treatment is complete, even if your child feels better. The symptoms may improve before the infection is fully cured, so it's essential to continue giving the medicine for the recommended duration.
Yes, Emeebact CV Dry Syrup may cause diarrhea due to its antibiotic properties. If your child experiences diarrhea, encourage them to drink plenty of water or other fluids. Consult with your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration, such as infrequent urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine. Do not give any other medicine without consulting a doctor.
Most of the time, bacterial infections do not follow viral infections. Giving antibiotics for viral infections can increase your child's risk of developing side effects. Use antibiotics only after consulting with your child's doctor.
Yellow or green mucus in the nose does not necessarily mean that antibiotics are needed. During a common cold, it's normal for mucus to thicken and change color. Symptoms often last for 7-10 days.
If your child experiences serious allergic reactions (breathing problems, skin rashes), gastrointestinal infections (diarrhea), or liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting), call their doctor right away. These side effects are rare but require prompt attention from a medical expert.
