Directions for Use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
How it works
Emcort S Cream is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone and Salicylic Acid. Mometasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Mometasone into the skin.
Quick Tips
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily or as advised by your doctor. Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor. After you have applied Emcort S Cream, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area). Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome skin dryness during the course of treatment. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
