Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities Never combine Elfast Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects Stop Elfast Syrup and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties Practice self-care tips: clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing, give your child plenty of fluids, restrain your child from having dairy products, coffee, and foods that are spicy and fried, make your child gargle with warm saltwater, and ensure your child takes enough rest
Giving excessive amounts of Elfast Syrup can lead to serious side effects like seizures, rapid heartbeat, depression, cognitive impairments, and difficulty concentrating. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage. To ensure accurate dosing, use the calibrated cup provided with the medication by its manufacturer. Avoid using a kitchen teaspoon as it may not deliver an appropriate dose.
Elfast Syrup should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place away from direct heat and light. Ensure all medicines are kept out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Do not administer more than one medication for cough or cold to your child at a time unless explicitly advised by a doctor. Combining them could result in unintended overdose, potentially leading to serious adverse effects. It is essential to consult your child’s physician before giving any medication.
Never administer medications designed for adults to children. Children should only be given medicines specifically formulated for them to minimize potential side effects. Ensure you properly review the medication label before administration in your child and administer it at the prescribed dose. If symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment, it's best to consult your child’s doctor.
Elfast Syrup may cause mild drowsiness as a side effect, making your child feel sleepy. Do not use this medicine for inducing sleep. Forced sleep could mask any underlying sleep disorders such as insomnia. It is always best to consult with your child's doctor before administering Elfast Syrup.
