Efonta T 40mg/40mg Tablet is a combination of two antihypertensive medicines: efonidipine and telmisartan. Efonidipine is a calcium channel blocker that regulates blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the pressure on them making it easier for the heart to pump more blood throughout the body. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of certain natural substances (angiotensin II) that tighten the blood vessels allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
