Ecwash 2% Gel is a keratolytic medication to be applied on the skin. It treats pimples (acne) by penetrating the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria. It additionally reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes acne-prone skin, and keeps your pores open.
Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and genitals. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. It makes your skin sensitive towards sunlight. Use protective measures like sunscreen or wear protective clothing. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual dryness, redness, and peeling of the skin. Do not apply to open wounds or irritated skin.
Before application, remove makeup and wash the affected area thoroughly with water and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of Ecwash 2% Gel to the entire affected skin area, avoiding just individual spots. After applying, wash your hands thoroughly.
At the beginning of treatment, Ecwash 2% Gel is usually applied once daily in the evening. The cream does not need to be washed off after application, so it can be left overnight unless irritation occurs. If you experience irritation, consult your doctor.
Discontinue Ecwash 2% Gel and consult your doctor if you experience severe local irritation, including redness, dryness, itching, stinging, or burning sensations.
Use only on the skin. Keep it away from eyes, eyelids, lips, mouth, and nose. If contact occurs, wash affected areas with water immediately. Avoid use on scratched or eroded skin, open wounds, and sensitive areas like the neck. Ecwash 2% Gel can increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight. Use sunscreen and protective clothing while using this medicine, avoid sunbeds/lamps and limit time in direct sun exposure. Be careful when using Ecwash 2% Gel on hair as it may bleach it.
The initial dose is preferably once daily in the evening, with a potential gradual increase by your doctor to twice daily (morning and evening).
You may notice improvement within 4-6 weeks of treatment. This is normal for acne treatments. If your acne doesn't improve after a month, talk to your doctor immediately.
Usually, Ecwash 2% Gel starts to clear acne within a few days of using it. However, significant results may require around 8 weeks of regular use.
Inform your doctor if your acne does not improve after completing the full treatment course or if symptoms are worsening during or after use.
