How it works
Dyclo-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Dyclo-MR Tablet?
Dyclo-MR Tablet is a combination medication containing Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This medication helps to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone works by relaxing the muscles in the central nervous system. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by reducing the levels of prostaglandins, chemical substances responsible for causing pain and inflammation, within the body.
Is Dyclo-MR Tablet safe to use?
Dyclo-MR Tablet is generally considered safe for most patients. However, some individuals may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other less frequent or rare side effects. If you encounter any persistent problems, notify your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Dyclo-MR Tablet once my pain is relieved?
You should continue taking Dyclo-MR Tablet only if your doctor prescribes it for a specific duration. If you are using the medication for short-term pain relief, discontinuation can be considered after consulting your doctor.
Can Dyclo-MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Dyclo-MR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting. If you experience these side effects, take it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods alongside this medication. If you experience vomiting, drink water or other fluids in small amounts frequently. Consult your doctor if the symptoms persist and you observe signs of dehydration, such as dark-colored urine and decreased urination frequency. Do not use any other medications without consulting your doctor.
Can Dyclo-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients might experience dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) after taking Dyclo-MR Tablet. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is advisable to rest for a while and resume once you feel better.
Can the use of Dyclo-MR Tablet cause kidney damage?
Long-term use of Dyclo-MR Tablet may potentially lead to kidney damage. Prostaglandins are chemical substances produced by the kidneys that protect them from damage. The use of painkillers lowers prostaglandin levels, increasing the risk of kidney damage over time. Patients with pre-existing kidney diseases should not use this medication.
Can I take a higher than recommended dose of this medicine?
No, taking a higher dose of Dyclo-MR Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. If you are experiencing increased pain or if your pain is not relieved with the recommended doses, consult your doctor for a re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Dyclo-MR Tablet?
Store Dyclo-MR Tablet in its original container or packaging. Keep it at room temperature and adhere to the instructions mentioned on the label. Dispose of any unused medicine appropriately, ensuring that pets, children, and other individuals do not access it.
