Introduction

Dutawin Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia. It works by blocking an enzyme necessary for testosterone to convert into another hormone that causes prostate growth, thereby shrinking the prostate and relieving symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dutawin Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor. Dutawin Tablet is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive. Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutawin Tablet.
