Duphaston Pro Tablet works by imitating the activities of the natural hormone progesterone, which helps to alleviate the symptoms of hormonal imbalances. It helps in female infertility by preparing the lining of the uterus for pregnancy. It regulates the menstrual cycle and prevents repeated miscarriages.
Duphaston Pro Tablet is prescribed to treat a wide range of menstrual disorders and to maintain a healthy womb lining for the ongoing pregnancy. It may also be used in women who have suffered repeated miscarriages. It may cause bleeding or spotting in between menstrual periods. Inform your doctor immediately if it carries on for more than a few months. Before starting treatment with Duphaston Pro Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any scheduled surgery. Inform your doctor if you are lactose intolerant since Duphaston Pro Tablet contains lactose. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Take the medicine exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. Duphaston Pro Tablet is used to relieve the symptoms of endometriosis (a condition where the womb lining grows outside the uterus) and infertility due to low progesterone levels. It also relieves painful periods, controls irregular periods, and resolves symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Additionally, it restarts periods that have stopped before menopause (amenorrhea) and helps stop or prevent unusually heavy or long periods (often associated with the start of menopause).
While Duphaston Pro Tablet is generally considered safe for pregnancy, there's a potential risk of increased hypospadias (a birth defect affecting the penis) if taken during pregnancy. The risk appears to be associated with specific progestogen medications. However, the risk does not necessarily mean that taking Duphaston Pro Tablet during pregnancy will cause harm. Discuss any concerns and risks with your doctor to make an informed decision.
Duphaston Pro Tablet is a synthetic version of progesterone, the natural female hormone. It's used when the body doesn't produce enough progesterone.
Duphaston Pro Tablet may help prevent habitual abortion (miscarriage) and potential miscarriages related to low progesterone levels. However, this medication should never be taken without consulting a doctor first. It's crucial to follow your healthcare provider's instructions for the best outcome.
You should not take Duphaston Pro Tablet if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to it. You should also avoid taking Duphaston Pro Tablet if you have a tumor that is worsened by progestins (such as meningioma) or if you experience irregular or unusually heavy periods with an unknown cause.
If you miss a dose of Duphaston Pro Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is less than 12 hours late, continue taking the next scheduled tablet at the regular time. However, if it is more than 12 hours after your scheduled time, skip that dose and follow your doctor's instructions for continuing the medication. Remember not to double up on doses to make up for missed ones.
Duphaston Pro Tablet may cause breast pain as a side effect, and it's important to have a complete breast examination before starting treatment. If you notice any breast-related changes, such as lumps, changes in fullness, or breast heaviness, talk to your doctor about them.
