Duolin Rotacap is a combination of two medicines: Levosalbutamol and Ipratropium. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages and making it easier to breathe. It relieves coughing, wheezing and feeling short of breath. It is used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).
Rotacaps must not be swallowed. Check the label for directions before use. Place the capsule at the base of rotahaler, not in the mouthpiece. Twist the mouthpiece completely until you hear a click and breathe in deeply through the mouthpiece. Hold your breath for up to 10 seconds. If some powder remains in the rotahaler, repeat the process.

Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium level as low oxygen level in the blood (hypoxia) and medicines such as Duolin Rotacap can lower blood potassium level. Only miniscule amounts of Duolin Rotacap may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence, serious side effects are unlikely.
It is not recommended to use Duolin Rotacap with other medications such as anticholinergic agents, beta-adrenergic blockers, diuretics, digoxin, MAO inhibitors, or antidepressants.
