Do not use more than you need as that may cause increased side effects. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. The effects of this medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry and washing hands before and after treating the infection. Some people have a severe allergic reaction that needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, dizziness and nausea. Get emergency help if this happens. Duco-F Soap is an antifungal medication which treats skin infections. It works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child. Do not apply Duco-F Soap on cuts or burns. Keep away from children.
Duco-F Soap is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis associated with thrush.
Duco-F Soap is effective against Trichophyton species, causing ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch. It also targets yeast known as Candida, commonly causing vaginal thrush (infection caused by an overgrowth of yeast called Candida albicans).
The symptoms of skin infection, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment. However, signs like redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. Continue applying this medicine for the duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Duco-F Soap. If using the cream for an infected foot, wash and dry your feet, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Apply a thin layer to affected areas two or three times daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. Generally, continue treatment for 1 month for tinea infections and at least 15 days for candida infections. Do not stop the treatment on your own even if you feel better, as the infection may return.
Duco-F Soap is safe for children when used as directed by a doctor and applied for the prescribed duration. Minor side effects might occur but are usually not bothersome. If severe burning sensation, redness, or itching occurs, stop using the medicine and consult your doctor.
Keep affected skin areas clean and dry but avoid excessive rubbing. Avoid scratching as it can damage the skin surface and spread the infection further. Do not share towels, bath mats, etc., with others.
Duco-F Soap may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If using the cream on the vulva or penis, consider alternative methods of contraception for at least 5 days after using Duco-F Soap.
