Drolute Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of endometriosis (womb lining growth outside the womb), infertility caused by low progesterone levels. It also relieves painful periods, controls irregular periods (at the wrong time or none at all), and resolves premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms. Additionally, it can restart stopped periods before menopause (amenorrhea) and help to stop or prevent unusually heavy or long periods (often due to menopause onset).
Drolute Tablet may increase the risk of hypospadias, a birth defect involving the urinary opening. This occurs in children whose mothers took certain progestogens. However, the chance of developing this increased risk remains uncertain. Currently, there is no evidence suggesting that using Drolute Tablet during pregnancy is harmful. Consult with your doctor to discuss risks and benefits.
Drolute Tablet is a synthetic form of progesterone, the naturally occurring female sex hormone, used in cases where your body produces insufficient progesterone.
Drolute Tablet can help prevent habitual abortion (miscarriage) and potential cases of abortion due to progesterone deficiency. It may be effective if the miscarriage is caused by this reason, but must only be taken after consultation with a doctor. Following your doctor's instructions for use is crucial for maximum effectiveness.
Do not take Drolute Tablet if you are allergic to it, have a tumor that worsens with progestins (like meningioma), or if you experience irregular or unusually heavy periods with an unknown cause.
If you forget your dose and it is less than 12 hours late, take it as soon as you remember. Continue taking the next scheduled tablet at the usual time. If it's more than 12 hours since your last dose, skip this tablet and continue with the prescribed medication. Never double a dose to compensate for a missed one. Missing a dose may lead to irregular bleeding or spotting.
Some patients experience breast pain as a side effect of using Drolute Tablet. A thorough breast examination should be performed before starting treatment with Drolute Tablet. If you notice any changes in your breasts, such as lumps, change in fullness, or breast heaviness, discuss these concerns with your doctor.
