The Dr. Odin MC 101 Digital Medical Thermometer is a digital thermometer designed to provide accurate temperature readings within 20 seconds. It is suitable for use in the oral cavity, rectal cavity, or under the armpit. The thermometer features a rigid tip and is water-resistant, making it a reliable and convenient option for measuring body temperature.
To use the thermometer, clean the tip with cold water and soap, then rinse it. Turn the thermometer on, put the tip under your tongue, towards the back of your mouth, close your lips around the thermometer, and wait until it beeps or flashes. Check the temperature on the display.

The ice bath test is the easiest way to test a thermometer for accuracy, assuming your thermometer will display temperatures of 32°F or less.
Insert your thermometer into the glass of cold water without touching the sides of the glass. After 30 seconds, your thermometer should read 32° F. If it doesn't, it may need to be replaced or recalibrated.
Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean the inside of any small crevices. Allow the alcohol to air-dry on the thermometer to kill germs effectively.
Direct sunlight, cold temperatures or a sweaty forehead can affect temperature readings. Variations in user technique, such as holding the scanner too far away from the forehead, also may affect accuracy.
