Doucef O Dry Syrup is a combination antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections in children. It is effective against infections affecting the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bones, joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. Additionally, it can be used to treat typhoid fever in children and adolescents. The medicine works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall and interacting with the genetic material of bacteria, thereby stopping their growth and spread. It is crucial to complete the entire course of antibiotics to prevent bacterial resistance and recurrence of infection. Common side effects may include upset stomach and diarrhea. Always consult a doctor for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach. Ensure your child completes the entire course of antibiotics. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water if diarrhea develops.

Doucef O Dry Syrup contains two antibiotics: Cefixime, which prevents the formation of the bacterial cell wall, and Ofloxacin, which interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. This combination stops the growth and spread of infection-causing bacteria.

Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Doucef O Dry Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Only give Doucef O Dry Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child’s doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
