Introduction

Donecept M Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Donepezil and Memantine, which treat Alzheimer's disease. It helps to slow down the progression of moderate to severe Alzheimer's by improving memory and thinking. It also increases the levels of a chemical messenger involved in the transmission of nerve signals.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Donecept M Forte Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Donecept M Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Donepezil and Memantine, which treat Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil is a cholinesterase inhibitor while Memantine is an NMDA inhibitor. Together, they balance the levels of chemical messengers in the brain and help in the transmission of nerve signals.

Monitor your body weight regularly as both Donecept M Forte Tablet and Alzheimer's disease can cause weight loss. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures as it may raise the chances of seizure if you had them in the past. It may cause stomach ulcers, specially if you are also taking medications for inflammation or pain. Talk to your doctor if you vomit blood or have black colored stools.
