Frequently asked questions
How much Dolopar 250 Suspension should I give to my child?
Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding how much of the medicine to give and how often to give it. This depends on the strength of the medicine and the age of your child. The label or leaflet inside the packaging may also provide directions before use. The recommended dose is typically 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours, as instructed by your doctor. If you are unsure how much to give, please consult with your child's doctor.
When will my child’s condition improve after taking Dolopar 250 Suspension?
Dolopar 250 Suspension usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of intake and shows its peak effect within 3 to 4 hours. Your child may start to feel better after a few doses. If the pain or fever persists longer, please consult with your child’s doctor immediately.
Can I give Dolopar 250 Suspension to my child for low-grade fever?
Yes, this medicine can be used if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. It is crucial to consult with your doctor before giving the medication.
My child’s fever is persistent even after taking Dolopar 250 Suspension. What should I do?
If the fever doesn't come down after the initial few doses, a potential underlying infection (viral or bacterial) might be present. Please consult your child’s doctor for specific treatment.
How much of Dolopar 250 Suspension is considered as an overdose?
You should only take four doses of Dolopar 250 Suspension in 24 hours. There should be a gap of at least 4-6 hours between two doses. Never take the medicine for more than three days without first speaking with your doctor. An overdose can cause serious damage to the liver and kidneys, with potential fatal consequences. Inform your doctor immediately if you suspect you have given too much of this medication to your child, even if they seem well, as delayed liver damage is possible.
Is there any special diet my child needs to follow while taking this medicine?
Unless instructed by your doctor, your child should have a normal balanced diet while continuing this medication. Lack of nutrition can increase the risk of developing medicinal toxicity.
Where should I store this medicine?
Keep this medicine at room temperature in a dry place, out of reach of children.
In what conditions must Dolopar 250 Suspension be given with caution?
It is advised to use Dolopar 250 Suspension cautiously if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any known medication allergies. Please share your child’s complete medical history with their doctor as it will help them determine the medicine's safety for your child.
Can I give Dolopar 250 Suspension on a routine basis when my child is taking a vaccine?
