Introduction

Dolokind gel is a topical medication used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with recent muscle or joint injuries, as well as pain from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It contains a combination of diclofenac, capsaicin, methyl salicylate, and menthol, which work together to reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling. This medication is for external use only and should be used under medical supervision.

Gently massage Dolokind gel into the skin of the affected area. Allow the medicine to dry for at least 10 minutes before you wear clothes or gloves over the treated area. Wash your hands immediately after using the cream, unless your hands are part of the treated area. Do not wrap, bandage, or apply heat to the treated area.

Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), works by reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Capsaicin stimulates the release of a compound involved in communicating pain between the nerves in the spinal cord and other parts of the body, thus decreasing the intensity of pain signals in the body. Methyl salicylate reduces inflammation, and menthol soothes and reduces pain.
