Difizma Capsule is a combination of glycopyrronium, indacaterol, and mometasone. Glycopyrronium belongs to a class of medications called anticholinergics. It works by decreasing the secretions in the airways. Indacaterol works by relaxing and opening air passages in the lungs. Mometasone works by calming down the immune system. This in turn decreases the swelling in respiratory passages and lungs enabling easier breathing. It also stops symptoms such as wheezing and coughing.
Rinse your mouth or gargle with water after using Difizma Capsule to reduce the risk of mouth infection. Monitor blood glucose as advised by your doctor while using Difizma Capsule since it may increase your blood sugar level. Do not smoke. Smoking causes irritation and damage to the lungs and will make your condition worse. Do not discontinue the use of Difizma Capsule without consulting your doctor even if you feel better. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. If at any time your breathing gets worse, please contact your doctor or nurse straightaway.
No, smoking should be avoided while taking Difizma Capsule. Smoking can irritate the lungs and may make breathing more difficult, especially for individuals with asthma. Please consult your doctor if you are struggling to avoid smoking.
Difizma Capsule is not intended for immediate relief of sudden asthma attacks. It should be taken daily as part of a regular asthma management plan. For managing these attacks, your doctor may recommend using other medications. If you experience a sudden attack of breathlessness or wheezing, contact your healthcare professional immediately.
While there is limited information on the use of Difizma Capsule in diabetic patients, it is essential to inform your doctor before starting treatment. They can provide guidance based on your specific needs and medical history.
It is crucial to continue taking Difizma Capsule as prescribed by your doctor until the treatment period is over. This will ensure proper control of your asthma, and stopping abruptly may lead to symptom recurrence or worsening.
The standard dose is one capsule of Difizma Capsule, to be used once daily. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
If your asthma doesn't improve or worsens despite using Difizma Capsule as prescribed, talk to your doctor immediately. They may need to adjust your treatment plan.
