Introduction
Diconal 0.01% w/v Nasal Spray is a topical nasal spray that contains Xylometazoline Hydrochloride and Sorbitol as its active ingredients. It is used to relieve nasal congestion and open blocked nostrils. The formulation has a vasoconstrictor effect on mucosal blood vessels, reducing the oedema of the nasal mucosa. It also has an osmotic effect, reducing swelling and inflammation, and protects the nostrils from drying out.
Directions for Use
Use one to two drops in each nostril, 2-3 times a day.
How it works
Xylometazoline hydrochloride has a vasoconstrictor effect on mucosal blood vessels, reducing the oedema of the nasal mucosa.
