How it works
Dicnac MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Dicnac MR Tablet?
Dicnac MR Tablet contains three active ingredients: diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. This medication is used to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and paracetamol work by lowering prostaglandins, chemical substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation.
Is it safe to use Dicnac MR Tablet?
Dicnac MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other less common or rare effects. If you experience persistent problems related to the medication, inform your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Dicnac MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
You should continue Dicnac MR Tablet as prescribed by your doctor until a specific duration for your treatment. In cases of short-term pain relief, the medication can be discontinued as per your doctor's instructions.
Can the use of Dicnac MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Dicnac MR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting in some individuals. If you experience nausea while taking this medication, consider consuming it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods when using this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink fluids by sipping small quantities frequently. It's important to consult your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration such as dark-colored urine and decreased urination frequency. Do not take any other medication without first speaking with your doctor.
Can the use of Dicnac MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients experience dizziness while taking Dicnac MR Tablet, which can lead to feelings of faintness, weakness, instability, or lightheadedness. If you feel dizzy, it's recommended to rest and resume when you feel better.
Can the use of Dicnac MR Tablet cause kidney damage?

Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine?
Taking higher doses of Dicnac MR Tablet can increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects. If your pain is not relieved with the prescribed dosage, or if you experience increased severity of pain, please consult your doctor to re-evaluate your treatment plan.
