How it works
Diclosri MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Diclosri MR Tablet?
Diclosri MR Tablet contains diclofenac sodium, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. This medication helps relieve muscle pain by working on various mechanisms: Diclofenac inhibits the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and inflammation; Paracetamol reduces pain signals in the brain; and Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system to relax muscles.
Is Diclosri MR Tablet safe to use?
Diclosri MR Tablet is generally considered safe for most individuals. However, some patients may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other rare or infrequent effects. It is important to inform your doctor immediately if you experience persistent problems while using this medication.
Can I stop taking Diclosri MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
You should continue taking Diclosri MR Tablet as directed by your healthcare provider, unless it is a short-term pain relief case. You may discontinue the medication if you are using it for a limited time.
Can Diclosri MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Diclosri MR Tablet can lead to nausea and vomiting in some individuals. If you experience these side effects, consider taking this medication with milk or food along with antacids. Additionally, avoid consuming fatty or fried foods with Diclosri MR Tablet. If experiencing vomiting, it is recommended to drink clear fluids like water in small, frequent sips. If the nausea persists and you notice signs of dehydration (dark colored urine and infrequent urination), consult your doctor immediately.
Can Diclosri MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients may experience dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) while taking Diclosri MR Tablet. If you feel dizzy, it is best to rest for a while and resume your activities once you regain balance.
Can the use of Diclosri MR Tablet cause kidney damage?
Prolonged use of Diclosri MR Tablet can potentially lead to kidney damage. The kidneys are designed to produce prostaglandins, which protect them from harm. However, long-term use of painkillers depletes these protective prostaglandin levels, increasing the risk of kidney damage over time. People with pre-existing kidney disease should refrain from using Diclosri MR Tablet.
Can I take a higher dose of this medicine?
It is not recommended to exceed the recommended dose of Diclosri MR Tablet, as it may increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects. In case of increased pain severity or if the medication's recommended dosage doesn't provide sufficient relief, consult your healthcare provider for a proper re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Diclosri MR Tablet?
Store Diclosri MR Tablets in their original packaging at room temperature. Make sure it is kept out of reach of pets, children, and other individuals. Dispose of any unused medication according to local guidelines.
