How it works
Diclonex-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Diclonex-MR Tablet?
Diclonex-MR Tablet is a combination medication containing diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. It is designed to relieve muscle pain by targeting the central nervous system and reducing prostaglandins (chemical messengers associated with pain and inflammation).
Is Diclonex-MR Tablet safe?
Diclonex-MR Tablet can be safely used for most individuals. However, some common side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, weakness, and sleepiness may occur. It is important to seek immediate medical attention if you experience persistent or severe side effects.
When should I stop taking Diclonex-MR Tablet?
You should continue taking Diclonex-MR Tablet as prescribed by your doctor unless the medication has been discontinued earlier. If your condition is resolved with short-term use of Diclonex-MR Tablet, it can be discontinued at your doctor's advice.
Can using Diclonex-MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Diclonex-MR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting. If this occurs, consider taking the medication with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods while on this medication. In case of vomiting, sip water frequently instead of large quantities to prevent dehydration. Consult your doctor if you experience persistent nausea or symptoms of dehydration like dark-colored urine and reduced urination frequency.
Can Diclonex-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, use of Diclonex-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some individuals. If you experience this symptom, rest for a while and resume your activities once you feel better.
