How it works
Diclokind MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Diclokind MR Tablet?
Diclokind MR Tablet contains diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. This medication provides relief for muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that works by influencing the central nervous system. Diclofenac and paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins in the body, which cause pain and inflammation.
Is Diclokind MR Tablet safe to use?
Diclokind MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some individuals may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other uncommon or rare side effects. If you encounter any persistent issues related to the medication, contact your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Diclokind MR Tablet once my pain is relieved?
It's recommended to continue Diclokind MR Tablet as prescribed by your doctor, unless it's for short-term pain relief. Your doctor will determine the appropriate duration based on your condition.
Can the use of Diclokind MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, some patients may experience nausea and vomiting after using Diclokind MR Tablet. If you experience this side effect, try taking it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods alongside this medication. If vomiting occurs, drink plenty of fluids by sipping frequently. If the vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration such as dark urine and decreased urination frequency, consult your doctor. Remember not to take any other medications without seeking your doctor's advice.
Can the use of Diclokind MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients may experience dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) after using Diclokind MR Tablet. If you feel dizzy, it's advisable to rest for a while and resume only when feeling better.
Can the use of Diclokind MR Tablet cause kidney damage?
Long-term use of Diclokind MR Tablet can potentially lead to kidney damage. It is important to note that normal kidneys produce prostaglandins, which protect them from damage. Painkillers lower levels of prostaglandins in the body over time, ultimately leading to kidney problems if used long-term. Therefore, it's not recommended for patients with pre-existing kidney issues.
Should I take a higher dose of this medicine than recommended?
It's strongly advised against taking more than the recommended dose of Diclokind MR Tablet. Increasing the dosage can significantly increase side effects. In case you experience increased pain severity or if your pain is not adequately relieved by the prescribed doses, please consult your doctor for a re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Diclokind MR Tablet?
Store this medication in its original container, tightly sealed. Adhere to the instructions on the pack or label provided with the medicine. Dispose of unused medication safely and ensure it's inaccessible to pets, children, and other individuals.
