How it works
Dicetazone Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Dicetazone Tablet?
Dicetazone Tablet contains three active ingredients: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This combination is used to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by decreasing prostaglandins in the body which are responsible for pain and inflammation.
Is Dicetazone Tablet safe?
Dicetazone Tablet is generally safe for patients when used properly. However, it may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other uncommon or rare side effects. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience persistent problems from the medication.
When should I stop taking Dicetazone Tablet?
Continue taking Dicetazone Tablet as prescribed by your doctor for the specific duration. However, it can be discontinued if used for short-term pain relief only.
Can Dicetazone Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Dicetazone Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting in some patients. If experiencing this symptom, take the medication with milk, food, or antacids to ease the discomfort. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods while taking this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink water or other fluids slowly and frequently. Seek medical advice if you experience prolonged vomiting and observe signs like dark-colored urine and decreased urination.
Can Dicetazone Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, Dicetazone Tablet can induce dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. It's advisable to rest if experiencing this symptom and resume once you feel better.
Can long-term use of Dicetazone Tablet damage the kidneys?
Long-term use of Dicetazone Tablet can lead to kidney damage. Prostaglandins are a crucial protective chemical in kidneys, which are produced naturally by them. Painkillers lower prostaglandin levels, potentially causing kidney damage with prolonged use. Individuals with pre-existing kidney issues should avoid taking this medication.

Taking a higher dose of Dicetazone Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. Consult your doctor if you experience increased pain or if the prescribed dosage doesn't provide relief.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Dicetazone Tablet?
