You have been prescribed Dianita 500mg Tablet to control the blood sugar level and reduce the risk of diabetic complications such as heart attacks. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) may occur when taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or on delaying/skipping a meal. Carry a sugar source with you for immediate relief. Yes, Dianita 500mg Tablet has been shown to cause weight loss in people who are overweight or obese. It may also contribute to modest weight loss in those at risk for diabetes and individuals with insulin sensitivity or resistance.

Unlike some other oral antidiabetic medications, it rarely causes low blood sugar due to its mechanism of action.
Dianita 500mg Tablet usually does not cause sleepiness but may occasionally lead to sleep disorders or insomnia. However, a serious side effect called lactic acidosis can occur if kidney function is impaired. Consult your doctor if you experience fatigue or drowsiness while taking Dianita 500mg Tablet.
