Introduction

Dexapin C Eye Drop is a prescription medicine that is used for the treatment of inflammation in the eyes (uveitis). It helps in relieving pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation which are caused due to inflammation. It also has antibacterial property which help in preventing and controlling eye infections.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Dexapin C Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy.

Dexapin C Eye Drop is used for the treatment of uveitis. Wash your hands after using the eye drops and great care should be taken to avoid getting the product into the mouth. Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. After applying Dexapin C Eye Drop, close your eyes and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment and for 24 hours after your last dose.
