Devaxone 500mg Injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is effective against infections in the brain (e.g., meningitis), lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, blood, and heart. While it is generally well-tolerated, it is important to complete the full course of treatment to prevent the infection from becoming harder to treat. Common side effects may include diarrhea, which should resolve after the treatment course is completed. If you experience a rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing, discontinue use and consult your doctor immediately.

Devaxone 500mg Injection is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Your doctor has prescribed Devaxone 500mg Injection to cure your infection and improve your symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection harder to treat. Discontinue Devaxone 500mg Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.
