Dermisol S Cream is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid, which treats eczema and psoriasis. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.
Dermisol S Cream is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of various skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor. Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. After you have applied Dermisol S Cream, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area). Use a mild moisturizer regularly to overcome the skin dryness during the course of treatment. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
Apply the medication thinly and in sufficient quantity to cover the affected areas. Use two or three applications per day to the affected skin areas as recommended by your doctor or found on the product packaging. Wash your hands after applying Dermisol S Cream, unless it is used for treating a hand infection.
No, you should not discontinue use of the medication before completing the prescribed course. It's important to finish all doses, even if your symptoms subside. This ensures complete treatment for your condition.
Dermisol S Cream should not be applied to the face. Do not use this medication for extended periods of time. Avoid covering the treated area with a bandage or dressing, as this will increase absorption and increase the risk of side effects. Only use this medication as prescribed and do not give it to anyone else, even if they have similar symptoms.
Using Dermisol S Cream in excess will not make it more effective. Overuse may result in a greater dosage being absorbed into your system, potentially leading to skin thinning or weakening and other possible adverse effects. If you experience an increase in symptom severity, please consult with your doctor for re-evaluation.
Keep this medication in its original container or packaging, tightly sealed. Store according to the instructions on the package label. Dispose of unused medication safely and ensure it is not consumed by pets, children, or other individuals.
