How it works
Deprazone-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Deprazone-MR Tablet?
Deprazone-MR Tablet contains a combination of Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This medication is used to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins in the body, which are chemical substances responsible for pain and inflammation.
Is Deprazone-MR Tablet safe to use?
Deprazone-MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some individuals may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, drowsiness, and other uncommon or rare side effects. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any persistent problems related to the medication.
Can I stop taking Deprazone-MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Deprazone-MR Tablet should be continued as directed by your healthcare provider. However, it can be stopped if you are using it for short-term pain relief.
Can Deprazone-MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Deprazone-MR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting. In case of nausea, taking this medication with milk or food, or using antacids can help. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods while taking this medicine. In case of vomiting, drinking plenty of water or other fluids in small frequent sips is recommended. Consult your doctor if the vomiting persists and you experience signs of dehydration, such as dark-colored urine and a decrease in urination frequency.
Can Deprazone-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Deprazone-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest for a while and resume once you feel better.
