How it works
Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange is an antibiotic. It has two active agents, amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas, clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.
Quick Tips
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection. Your child may have a bitter taste in the mouth after the intake of Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Never give Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange until and unless prescribed by the doctor. You must also never share your child’s medicine with anyone else even if they show similar symptoms. Do not give Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange to treat common cold and flu-like symptoms caused by viruses. Never save medicine for future illnesses. It cannot be said whether the same medicine will work on future infections. Check ‘expiry’ before giving Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange to your child. Immediately discard all the expired medicines. Stop Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange immediately if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty. Report to the doctor without any delay.

Can my child receive vaccinations while on treatment with Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange?
Generally, antibiotics like Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have been vaccinated. However, it's recommended to wait until your child has recovered from the illness before receiving a vaccination.
Which lab tests may be required for my child while taking Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange over an extended period?
To monitor kidney and liver function, periodic checks may be necessary during prolonged therapy. Your doctor will advise on the specific tests required to assess your child's condition.
Can I administer a higher dose of Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange than recommended?
No, taking more medication than prescribed can increase the risk of side effects. If you notice an exacerbation of symptoms, consult with your doctor for re-evaluation and guidance.
Should I stop giving my child Delta 457 Dry Syrup Orange when their symptoms improve?
No, do not discontinue the treatment unless the full course is complete. Even if symptoms improve before the infection is fully cured, continue administering the medication as directed to ensure its beneficial effects.
