Deftab 6 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used for the treatment of various diseases and conditions such as inflammatory conditions and autoimmune conditions. This medication helps in reducing inflammation and suppressing the immune system to prevent self-damage. However, it can make it harder for you to fight off infections. Side effects may include mood changes and stomach problems. It is important to take this medicine as advised by your doctor and not to stop it suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Deftab 6 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Deftab 6 Tablet with salad and vegetable diet.

Deftab 6 Tablet is a corticosteroid. It increases the level of glucocorticoid in the body and works by decreasing the formation of substances that cause inflammation and suppresses immunity to stop self-damage to the body by the immune system (auto-immune reactions occurring in organ transplants or cancer).

Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Notify your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as a fever or sore throat. Inform your doctor if side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems bother you. Do not stop taking Deftab 6 Tablet suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may worsen your symptoms.
