Deeworm I Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine used to treat roundworm and tapeworm infections in children.
Oral Suspension
Deeworm I Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine given to treat a multitude of parasitic worm infestations such as roundworm and tapeworm infections in children. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day, whether or not they have any symptoms of infection.
Deeworm I Oral Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child's infection effectively.
Do not give raw or undercooked food to your child. Always give a balanced diet containing herbs, fruits, and spices of therapeutic value. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Call your child's doctor right away if the child exhibits signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, or any other sign of infection such as fever, gum-bleeding, black or red stools, and blood in urine or vomit.
Possible symptoms of a worm infection in children include: itchy bottom (rectal area), difficulty sitting, fatigue, restless sleep due to anal itching, and persistent stomach pain with loss of appetite or frequent indigestion. Other signs may be pica - if your child is consuming inedible substances like mud. If you notice any of these signs, please consult your child's doctor immediately.
Deeworm I Oral Suspension can be given at any time of the day. It is important to administer it with a fat-containing food such as milk, for better absorption.
Intestinal worm infections often occur when there is poor sanitation in living conditions. Contaminated soil due to inadequate hygiene may spread worm eggs. Additionally, playing in contaminated soil and drinking contaminated water or consuming fruits and vegetables without thorough washing can lead to infection.
Store Deeworm I Oral Suspension at room temperature in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets. Do not freeze the medication.
Seek immediate medical attention if your child experiences vision problems, puffy eyes, severe itching all over their body, trouble walking or standing, difficulty breathing, fast heart rate, disorientation or confusion, loss of bowel control, or neck pain after taking Deeworm I Oral Suspension.
