Dayvigo 10mg Tablet helps treat sleep disorders (insomnia) by slowing down the brain's activity and enabling you to fall asleep and stay asleep longer, so you can get a better night's rest.

Introduction

Take the drug orally in the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. Prefer taking it right before retiring to bed with at least 7 hours remaining before the planned time of awakening. Do not take it if you fall asleep often at unexpected times (narcolepsy). Avoid taking excessive dosage, as this medicine may have an addictive potential; therefore, use it for short periods as prescribed. Do not increase the prescribed dosage by yourself. If your condition worsens or does not improve within 7 to 10 days, report to your doctor immediately. Never self-medicate at home, and do not start taking this medication on a regular basis without a confirmed diagnosis of a sleep disorder. Dayvigo 10mg Tablet may cause some side effects, such as daytime sleepiness, tiredness, and bad dreams during sleep. Consult the doctor right away in case of worrisome episodes. Inform the doctor about your complete medical history, including the history of depression, mental illness, alcohol or drug abuse, daytime sleepiness, sudden onset of muscle weakness, lung or breathing problem, liver problem, pregnancy, breastfeeding, use of concomitant medicines, allergies, surgery, cardiac problem, or any other underlying medical condition.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dayvigo 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Dayvigo 10mg Tablet blocks the action of orexin, a chemical that regulates the sleep signals in the brain and keeps you awake. Once orexin's action is blocked, the brain doesn't receive wake-up signals, which helps you sleep.

Dayvigo 10mg Tablet can make you feel drowsy, therefore patients, especially the elderly, may be at a higher risk of falls. Caution is advised. Take Dayvigo 10mg Tablet right before going to bed and only when you can stay in bed for a full night (at least 7 hours). Do not take Dayvigo 10mg Tablet with other medicines that can make you sleepy unless your healthcare provider tells you to. Never share your medication with any other person who also has a sleep problem. Discuss it with your doctor if you develop unusual and strange thoughts or behavior while using Dayvigo 10mg Tablet. Stop taking the medication and inform your doctor if you experience complex sleep behaviors including sleep-walking, sleep-driving, preparing and eating food, making phone calls, or having sex while not being fully awake. Make sure to regularly visit your doctor to check your progress and any side effects.
