Do not stop taking it without asking your doctor. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is only part of a treatment program that should include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Dapgloz 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Dapgloz 10 Tablet is an antidiabetic medication. It works by removing excess sugar from your body through urine.
Dapgloz 10 Tablet is used alone or together with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications. It may cause your body to lose too much fluid (dehydration) or you may urinate more often. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal. It can cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both females and males, so practice good hygiene. It can cause hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety, so always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you. It can cause constant dizziness, joint pain, cold-like symptoms, or unexplained nausea/vomiting, so inform your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms.
Dapgloz 10 Tablet may cause some patients to experience a change in their weight, sometimes resulting in weight loss. However, it is not a common side effect. If you notice any sudden changes in your weight or have concerns regarding your body composition, please consult with your doctor.
Some potential side effects may include stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, vaginal yeast infections, and yeast infections of the penis. Additionally, frequent urination throughout the day or at night, as well as changes in urine quantity, have been reported. These side effects can occur in some patients, but it is important to discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider.
Dapgloz 10 Tablet is used to manage blood glucose levels in people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It helps lower blood sugar by promoting the removal of excess sugar from the body through urine, and potentially preventing the development of heart disease.
Dapgloz 10 Tablet is generally safe when used as prescribed by your doctor. It's important to follow the recommended dosage and timing for the best results. However, it can cause side effects in some individuals. Always talk to your doctor if you experience any adverse reactions.
You should not abruptly stop taking Dapgloz 10 Tablet without consulting with your doctor first. Stopping the medication suddenly may negatively impact your diabetes management, and potentially increase your risk of complications.
Individuals who are allergic to Dapgloz 10 Tablet should not use this medicine. Additionally, those with severe kidney problems or undergoing dialysis should avoid its use due to potential risks.
It is crucial to inform your doctor if you are taking Dapgloz 10 Tablet before having a surgical procedure. This is necessary because the medication may increase the risk of developing diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious condition that can arise when high blood sugar levels go untreated). Your doctor may recommend discontinuing Dapgloz 10 Tablet before surgery.
Both Dapgloz 10 Tablet and metformin are used to manage blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes. While metformin is effective alone for some patients, adding Dapgloz 10 Tablet may provide greater blood sugar control in certain individuals. Your doctor might have prescribed this combination based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
