Cycobal Injection contains vitamin B12, an essential nutrient for red blood cell production and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also aids in energy release and utilizes vitamin B11 (folic acid). Vitamin B12 is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, or grains.
Vitamin B12 is primarily obtained through animal products like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. Individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may experience difficulty obtaining Vitamin B12 as it's not naturally present in plant-based foods. As a result, vitamin B12 deficiency is often observed in people following these diets.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest as fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, megaloblastic anemia (an enlarged red blood cell count). It can also result in nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in hands and feet. Other symptoms may include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Cycobal Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. In case of a rash, discontinue use immediately.
Cycobal Injection can be administered intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The typical dose is 0.5 mg of Cycobal Injection, administered three times per week. After two months, administer a single dose (0.5 mg of Cycobal Injection) once every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting Cycobal at the same site each time. If severe pain occurs during injection, or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
