Frequently asked questions
What is Cubol 1500mcg Injection?
Cubol 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in red blood cell production and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also contributes to energy release from food, and works with vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 through my diet?
Getting enough vitamin B12 is often difficult for people who don't eat meat, fish, eggs, or dairy products. Individuals following a vegetarian or vegan diet may be at risk of deficiency because vitamin B12 isn't naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. It's important to check with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your dietary intake.
What happens if I have a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia. This is because the body may struggle to produce healthy red blood cells. Deficiency may also cause nerve problems like numbness in the hands and feet, balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Cubol 1500mcg Injection safe?
Cubol 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, some individuals may experience side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or a rash. If you notice any rashes while taking the medication, discontinue use immediately.
How should Cubol 1500mcg Injection be administered?
Cubol 1500mcg Injection can be administered via intramuscular injection or intravenous injection. The standard dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Cubol 1500mcg Injection) and it's given 3 times per week, then after two months, you may take 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Cubol 1500mcg Injection) every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken while administering Cubol 1500mcg Injection?
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site each time. If you experience intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, withdraw the needle and re-insert it at a different location.
