Lotion
Your doctor will explain how to use Crotorax Lotion and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine to make sure you use it correctly. Generally, it is applied to your whole body except your head, mouth, eyes, and face. Your skin should be clean, dry, and cool before using it. You should take a cleansing bath after 48 hours of the last application to remove the traces of the medication from the skin. After each application, change your clothes, towels, and bed sheets to stop the spread of infection. The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild and not everyone gets them. Sometimes itching may last for a few weeks after treating scabies. This is probably an allergic reaction to dead mites and not a sign that the treatment has failed. Before using it, you should ask your doctor's advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Crotorax Lotion is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Crotorax Lotion via licking.
Crotorax Lotion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Crotamiton belongs to two classes of medicines called antipruritics and scabicides. It works by killing the mites which cause scabies.
