Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension, administer the dose again. If it has been more than 30 minutes since administering Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose. Wait until it's time for the next dose. If you are unsure about this, consult your doctor.
You can administer this medicine if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. However, it is important to always discuss your concerns with your child's doctor first.
If the fever doesn’t come down after the initial doses, it might indicate an underlying infection (viral or bacterial) requiring specific treatment prescribed by your child's doctor.
You should only take four doses of Crocemol 250mg Oral Suspension in 24 hours, with at least a 4-6 hour gap between each dose. Do not use this medicine for more than three days without first consulting your doctor. Excessive amounts of the medication can lead to liver and kidney damage. It is important to inform your doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose, even if your child appears well, as delayed severe liver damage could occur.
Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, allow your child a normal balanced diet while continuing the medication. Lack of nutrition can increase the risk of developing medicinal toxicity.
Store this medicine at room temperature in a dry place away from children.
