How it works
Cotrex Ointment is a combination of four medicines: Beclometasone, Neomycin, Clotrimazole, and Chlorocresol. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Neomycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
