Frequently asked questions
Can Comply 0.05% Cream be used for long durations?
No, Comply 0.05% Cream should not be used for long durations. The doctor generally prescribes it for two consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment can be extended for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. Consult your physician before using this medication.
Does Comply 0.05% Cream cause severe skin reactions?
Severe skin reactions are quite rare with Comply 0.05% Cream. Comply 0.05% Cream is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions, and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to Comply 0.05% Cream. It's essential to leave the affected area open after applying Comply 0.05% Cream; using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) might increase the risk of skin reactions. The medicine may not itself cause a reaction, but the added excipients with the medication can contribute to a reaction in some cases. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any skin reactions.
Can Comply 0.05% Cream be applied to the face?
No, Comply 0.05% Cream should not be used on the face or in areas with atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. It can only be used if specifically recommended by your physician. In some rare instances, it may be considered for use on the face for a limited time and under strict doctor's supervision, but only after consultation. It should ideally be applied to a maximum of 5 days.
Can Comply 0.05% Cream be used on children?
Comply 0.05% Cream is not recommended for use in children under one year of age. It's also not recommended for older children and adolescents because side effects are more common in these groups. In the pediatric population, there is an increased risk of suppressed immune system, which could make the child susceptible to other diseases and atrophic changes, thus making it not advisable. However, if used by a physician, this medicine is usually prescribed for only five days, with weekly reviews.
