Comak Oral Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate. It relieves symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, body ache, and fever. This medication is commonly prescribed in children to treat these symptoms.
Comak Oral Suspension may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities.
Comak Oral Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms, Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels, Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic, and Sodium citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus.
Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities Never combine Comak Oral Suspension with other cold and flu medicines Stop Comak Oral Suspension and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties Practice self-care tips such as cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, giving your child plenty of fluids, and restraining them from having caffeinated products and spicy and fried foods
Overdosing on Comak Oral Suspension can lead to serious adverse effects such as seizures, rapid heart rate, depression, cognitive difficulties (such as difficulty concentrating), and impaired mental function. Always follow the prescribed dosage exactly. Use only the calibrated cup provided with the medicine for accurate dose measurement. Do not use a kitchen teaspoon; it will not provide an appropriate volume.
Comak Oral Suspension can potentially interact with other medications or substances your child is taking. It's important to inform your doctor about any other medications your child is currently on before starting Comak Oral Suspension. Additionally, consult your child's doctor before administering any new medication.
If your child has a pre-existing condition such as cardiovascular disease (hypertension, heart disease), diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal obstruction, increased intraocular pressure, urinary obstruction, or thyroid dysfunction, it is recommended that you avoid administering Comak Oral Suspension. Please inform your doctor about your child’s medical history before administering Comak Oral Suspension.
It is generally not recommended to administer more than one cough or cold medicine at a time unless instructed by your doctor. This is because the ingredients in both medicines might be similar, potentially leading to an overdose and unwanted complications.
Only administer medications specifically formulated for use in children. Do not administer any medication intended for adults to your child as it may cause unexpected side effects. Ensure you are familiar with the prescribed dosage before giving Comak Oral Suspension to your child, and seek medical advice if symptoms don't improve.
Comak Oral Suspension may induce mild drowsiness in children, so it should not be used to induce sleep. Avoid forcing your child into sleep as this might mask underlying sleep disorders such as insomnia.
