Colonext Oral Drops is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Dimethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Take it with food to prevent an upset stomach. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration. Take it at a fixed time. Good oral hygiene, frequent mouth rinses, and increased water intake may help with dry mouth. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Colonext Oral Drops as it can cause excessive drowsiness and increase your risk of stomach problems.
Before starting Colonext Oral Drops, tell your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine or have problems urinating. Inform your doctor if you have a bowel obstruction, severe constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a serious heart condition, active bleeding.
