Introduction

Cologenesis Meshed Collagen Sheet Biological Dressing is a widely accepted biological wound dressing, especially for burns. It is highly effective for patients, including those with HIV and hepatitis infections. The dressing is used for non-infective 2nd degree burns, superficial and deep dermal burns, 3rd degree burns as a temporary cover, traumatic loss of skin cover, temporary wound cover in major open fracture wound, and skin donor sites.

Thoroughly clean and denuded areas to eliminate external contamination. Thoroughly debride infected wounds. Take out the collagen sheet from the preserving medium and squeeze it to remove the excess preserving medium adhered to the collagen sheet. Rinse the collagen sheet thoroughly 2-3 times to remove the alcohol (preserving medium). Apply the sheet firmly on the wound and remove the air bubbles trapped if any for effective adhesion.

The collagen sheet provides quick and firm adhesion while allowing the skin to breathe, preserves local heat, and stimulates healthy granulation.
