Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Ranitidine. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

You will be prescribed Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity: make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water, avoid spicy and fatty fried food, lose weight if you are obese, consider giving up smoking, don't drink too much alcohol, and do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal.
