Chlorpheniramine Maleate (1mg) + Paracetamol (25mg) + Phenylephrine (2.5mg)
Coldnect Syrup is a medication used to treat common cold symptoms in children, such as sore throat, runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, body ache, and fever.
Syrup
Coldnect Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine, paracetamol, and phenylephrine. It is commonly prescribed in children to relieve common cold symptoms. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Coldnect Syrup may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Coldnect Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects. Stop Coldnect Syrup and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties.

Clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing to avoid allergy. Give your child plenty of fluids as it helps to thin and loosen the mucus in the lungs. Restrain your child from having dairy products, coffee, and foods that are spicy and fried. All these can trigger coughing. Make your child gargle with warm saltwater. Ensure your child takes enough rest.
Overdosing on Coldnect Syrup can lead to serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, depression, cognitive impairment, and difficulty concentrating. Always use the calibrated cup provided with the medication to precisely measure the prescribed dose. Avoid using a kitchen teaspoon as this will result in an inaccurate dosage.
Coldnect Syrup should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Do not administer more than one cough or cold medicine at a time unless advised by a healthcare professional. Combining multiple medications can lead to overdose and potentially harmful side effects. Always consult your child's doctor before administering any medication.
Never administer medicines intended for adult use to children. Children require specific formulations designed for their age and weight, which ensure safe and effective treatment. Always verify the medication's label before administering it to your child.
Coldnect Syrup may induce mild drowsiness, potentially impacting alertness. Never use the medicine as an aid for sleep and be mindful of this side effect. If you observe significant sleep disturbances, consult your child's doctor.
