Frequently asked questions
What is Cobkin 2500mcg Injection?
Cobkin 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in the body by contributing to red blood cell production and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It is also involved in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folate).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 can be obtained from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may experience deficiency due to the lack of natural presence in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is commonly observed in those following a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also cause nerve problems like numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Cobkin 2500mcg Injection safe?
Cobkin 2500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur in some individuals. If a rash develops, discontinue taking the medication immediately.
