Frequently asked questions
What is Cobavital 2500mcg Injection?
Cobavital 2500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, an essential nutrient crucial for the body's production of red blood cells and maintenance of a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and utilizing Vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why may I not be getting sufficient vitamin B12 through diet alone?
The primary sources of vitamin B12 are animal-based products like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. While a vegetarian or vegan diet can lack this source, it's crucial to choose fortified food options, such as plant-based milks enriched with Vitamin B12.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia. This condition results in abnormally large red blood cells. It can also cause nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other potential symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, and sore mouth or tongue.
Is Cobavital 2500mcg Injection safe?
Cobavital 2500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur. Stop the injection immediately if you experience a rash.

After two months, one ampoule (0.5 mg of Cobavital 2500mcg Injection) is administered every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken when administering Cobavital 2500mcg Injection?
